The Lady Flashes Track freshmen competed in the Marion County Freshman Championships on Saturday. The girls turned in some unbelievable efforts and came out with a narrow 8-point win over North Central to make it back-to-back Freshman County Titles. Ella DuVall got the team off to a great start winning BOTH the Shot Put and Discus in convincing fashion. Ella's winning throw in the Shot Put of 36'10" earned her a spot in the FC Track ALL-TIME Top-10 in the event dating all the way back to 1975. This mark also surpassed the standard needed to qualify for the New Balance Outdoor National meet this summer in Philadelphia. Teammate Lamonee Dozier was victorious in the 400 with a new lifetime best time of 1:00.74. The 4x400m Relay squad of Dozier, Reginae Bell, Abby White, and Stella Franic dominated the race with a blistering time for 4:13, with a super split 1:01.72 by Bell on the anchor. Runner up performances included Natalie Curtis in the 1600, Lexi Jensen in the Pole Vault, and Reginae Bell in the 100 AND 200.
